Why is next for Research into KT Practice?

What's next?

We are planning future events around social sciences, follow-on events on arts and humanities, exploring options to collaborate on events with other organisations and also to collaborate with our peers in Scotland.

In the longer term, we want to generate and communicate new research programmes and topics relevant to the emerging discipline of knowledge transfer. We also want to publish papers presented at the seminars and explore and develop new dissemination channels, both in our "Exchange" Magazine and forthcoming future journal. And we also want to identify areas where research into KT is needed and work with policy makers to find and provide funding for this.

IKT is organising a series of "Research into Knowledge Transfer Practice" seminars around these themes with invited papers and presentations on relevant case studies and research experiences. The research themes, content and format of the "Research into Knowledge Transfer Practice Seminars" will evolve in the light of feedback from the network and attendees at events.

The IKT aims to develop an on-line journal and/or a book to provide opportunities and new channels for dissemination for the results of research. The themes, content and format will evolve as the initiative develops. Academics, other organisations and research networks are already expressing keen interest in this initiative.
