Organisational Sponsored Membership of the IKT

telephone: 020 7127 8081 or 07092 982814 email: info@ikt.org.uk

Since launching the IKT in 2007, we have accredited as Associate and full Members, individuals who recognise that the field of knowledge transfer and exchange is either central or significantly related to their careers. The IKT now wishes to take the next step in enhancing professionals' access to the Institute and its development services, by inviting leading organisations with an interest in knowledge transfer, from the UK and beyond, to sponsor its staff to become Associate Members.

Organisational Sponsors will be able to nominate any number of employees as individual Associate Members. Associate Membership will give them, and hence the Sponsor organisation, access to a wide range of the IKT's services. Our aim is to broaden the reach and accessibility of IKT membership, welcoming participation from individuals for whom KT is a valuable, minority or developmental interest, in addition to those for whom it is their role or career focus. As well as the explicit benefits of, for example, continuing professional development, current information, mentoring and networking, you may recognise the motivational benefits to individuals at a range of levels and roles.

As a Sponsor, your organisation will be confirming that the recognition and development of knowledge transfer professionals is a key contribution to your organisation's success. For our part, the IKT will welcome your views and input on membership services and ways in which Sponsors and the IKT can work together to enhance the benefit of membership. We will also recognise and promote your organisation as an employer that takes a keen and active interest in the professional development of your employees and the workplace.

Individuals whom you nominate as Associate Members through the Organisational Sponsor route will be asked to sign up personally, simply providing their name, contact information and job title. It may be that some of your nominees could qualify for, or progress very quickly to full Member status, in which case we would ask them for additional information to comply with the IKT's existing professional membership criteria.

In addition to the discrete member benefits, your organisation also gains:

  • the ability to voice their views and help shape the future of the profession
  • the IKT will recognise and promote your organisation as an employer that takes an active interest in the professional development of its employees through a listing as an Organisational Sponsor area on the website
  • a free advertisement in the IKT Magazine 'Exchange' for the life of the membership
  • notification of events and conferences and the ability to co-badge where appropriate
  • access to the IKT GiNNN professional network (www.ginnn.com)
  • a discount when booking meeting facilities at 76 Portland Place, London through IKT
  • support with professional development through IKT's mentoring scheme, CPD tracker and CPD framework
  • notification of events and conferences
  • access to best practice tools and guidelines
  • preferential reduction of Recognised Course Provider Status from £500 to only £100 for all your courses for one year

The Organisational Sponsored Membership scheme costs no more than the individual cost of membership for those staff joining the IKT. However should you wish to sign up 5 or more members a 10% reduction is available. For larger numbers greater reductions might be possible. Please contact us to discuss this further.

  • Full Membership is £75
  • Associate Membership is £56
